This morning on a record collectors Facebook group, a tiled image of a record collection appeared and it turned out to be a members record collection on Discogs.

I’ve been on Discogs for a few years, mainly to buy a few records I cannot find elsewhere, but recently started using it to catalogue my collection. Just the vinyl right now as all the CDs are stored away and it will most likely stay that way.
The main reason for creating my own listing is not to sell but to remind myself when I’m recording shopping what I already have, yes I should know but found myself questioning if I already have a certain record or not on occasion and not buying only to get home and kick myself, and for insurance purposes.
So I thought why not put my page in to see how it looks, to note I’m only about two fifths, 2/4 or 0.4 of the way through the cataloging process and the only reason for creating this image is personal kudos. Nobody really cares about how many you have or what records you own apart from the occasional exception.
As I track back over the years this will change a lot!
