The title to this post may make no sense but the night did. Twin Skeletons is a four piece originating from Bath are on their first headline tour.
Their bio “Their sonically diverse music provides an intriguing and addictive new sound to the current alternative rock scene as it serves a large range from singalong anthems to pop punk verses and metal breakdowns to suit a varied audience.
Their songs combine dark, energetic rock riffs with catchy, hook-filled melodies as well as some compelling electronic sounds, which all make for an incredibly exciting experience, only elevating their live shows.”
Pretty much sums it up, musically on point, well trained, practiced and rehearsed, the musicianship in all four of them obvious, not just in the way they play but the way they run it create sound, it’s important, they must enjoy it!
A sonic masterclass from a band only formed in September 2023. The vocals adding another layer, youthful, different, unique, hints or notes sound operatic, it complements the pop punk metal as another sonic layer. Throw in a Lady Gaga cover as well. A great evening.
Support from White Noise Machine who opened up proceedings, driving guitar supported well with drums and a female vocalist / bass player with a big voice!
Colourblind Monks, the female lead bouncing, owning the stage, another big voice alongside great guitar riffs and hair.
Not forgetting Dead Man’s Pistol. Debuting a new track and entertaining the crowd with metal, then mushrooms the metal! Stigs voice sounding better than ever, his scream, his gutteral tones and a great band alongside him.
