Another great night at The Joiners in Southampton kicking off with local band Dead Freights in the first support slot. Truth be told, this band is the reason I was there last night.
I’ve seen Dead Freights before at a different venue so knew what to expect, I was not disappointed. A great thing about the Joiners is it gets busy early so all bands usually get a great crowd, this was one of those nights. A great band to watch as well as hear, they look like they belong on stage and together. They have presence!
Not the longest set but they were opening support, a couple of crowd pleasers, Reasons and Walls and How Much to Call me Daddy and a few new tracks. If you get a chance to see this band do so. Recently supported The Libertines on tour.
The new EP The Fury Tape was released this week and well worth a listen (recommendation). Looking forward to a headline show.
