I read in an article after seeing them Live, “Kid Kapichi, Political Punk Rock”, in New England they state “Politics, not my department” but I get the magnified view on modern life. That wasn’t my takeaway, mine was simply ‘I need to see that again!’
Musically mesmerising and lyrically, well I was hanging on the words with cynical politics and pop references from postman pat and Ninja Turtles to social commentary being cast across the audience.
Jack Wilson who sunny D apparently didn’t harm, a master of delivering dialogue with a confidence and intense presence behind sunglasses in a bright print shirt more at home in Benidorm in July. Supported by obviously great band members travelling the stage behind him. This is British Punk music, British Ska Punk at times. Owned the stage at this medium sized venue but would be epic in a small local venue, carnage. Original as F#%k and thankfully touring soon, shouting bogies!
“Remember you’re not a has been you’re a Heinz Bean.”
