I’m a great supporter of support acts, obviously you go to a gig to see the main act and the support is and should be a big part of the evening, they are there to warm the crowd up. Occasionally they are more than that. Tonight was one of those nights.
The main act was Lola Young who was fantastic but the beginning of the night was owned by Bug Eyed.
Bug Eyed is Blue O’Grady and Charlie Sale, from south-west London delivering an energetic blend of indie and electro-pop, future pop.

Catchy lyrics with winding social and personal commentary that just waves over you like an unintentional personal monologue accompanied by guitar riffs and bouncing electro melodies.
They looked so at home on the stage at SWX in Bristol and the Lola Young crowd was receptive to it a perfect choice for the support but I’d drive the two hours again if they were headlining.
Frank and Walter’s meets They Might Be Giants meets Young the Giant meets Glass Animals, it’s a band with influences hooked in many places yet sounding one hundred percent unique and new
