Let the Music (Take Control) – I Did and it Did!

It’s The Farm, they are back, they never went away fro me but they are back!

If you have had your head under a musical rock you may not know that Let the Music (Take Control) came out on 1st Feb 2024, the new single by the Liverpool based band The Farm. A great feel-good and, as tagged by the band a #Sundayvibes tune it is. The type of track that if it came on in a record store you would look around and everyone flicking through the racks would automatically start head bobbing to the beat like the Churchill dog, they would not be able to resist. A great tune and many more to follow hopefully ……. and an album?

I have followed since first hearing Groovy Train echoing from my Toshiba ‘Boom Box’ in 1990 followed closely by All Together Now, a song I first heard underage drinking in a country pub, (known for that sort of thing) when a local lad came in and said to the landlord “you’ve gotta hear this!” A cassette single in hand! Yes I have every CD single stored away and the necessary Vinyl.

Live performances at Portsmouth Guildhall, Southampton University back by Fabulous, the NME band, Radio One Anniversary in Birmingham, The Astoria I believe Mick Jones played as well, and Bug Jam.

Blagged backstage passes at Southampton University and got a few beers free but probably just to keep us quiet as wed had a few already and were probably just annoying.

Check out the new single below.
