Dead Mans Pistol make a triumphant return to The Hobbit

Dead Man’s Pistol, the Winchester based metal outfit storm their set at The Hobbit in Southampton. A deceptive venue that’s been in existence under its current guise since 1989. A pub upstairs, with stairs leading down to a smallish venue space then a tiered beer garden that would make any establishment envious, complete with outside bar and Pizza Cabin.

There were not many revellers making use of that area, tonight, they were all packed in to venue space clambering for a view. They were the second band on at what was billed as Shredding Fest and it certainly earned its title.

It was the first gig of the year for lead singer Stig Price and the rest of the band and they made the most of it, why wouldn’t you with a packed room.

The three guitars growled, screamed and either begged for mercy or shrieked in joy at being let loose once again alongside the guttural vocals. It’s was high energy metal inciting the expected mosh pit and screams of ‘one more song, one more song’ as their set came to a close. Take a look at the embedded Tik Toks below for a taste.

The band is going from strength to strength and truly enjoying every second, They are not available to stream yet, but not long to wait. They certainly added some new fans to there stable.
