You get these records by established artists, theres been a build up of anticipation as the record companies have done their job drip feeding posts to grow the excitement, then the day comes. This day came and the opening second of music/guitar brought a smile to my face and fair to say a few goosebumps! I’m on my macbook and my finger went to the clever bar thing tapped the volume and swiped it to MAX!
Like being transported back to that time when the Stone Roses and Oasis were at the height of their powers, basically my Uni days era. This is a absolute joy of a record, new and nostalgic at the same time. John Squires guitar playing unmistakable with a Love is the Law feel and Liams vocal just sounds awesome, you think it’s settling in then three minutes in an epic guitar solo appears, just right, and something you don’t hear often done like that. With that echo of 90s, a tonal hint of Seahorses in there, then Liam comes back in and just draws you in again. I just want to hear the album.
Ok in the middle he sings the colours of the rainbow, but ill forgive that just for the way you get the full Liam treatment of indigo/violet!
